TABOO Pole show creator: Ava Hennessy is a certified pole dance instructor, exotic dancer and performer. She has traveled across the UK and Ireland to perform in busy venues and teach her sold out signature workshops at pole dance studios in cities including: London, Manchester and Glasgow (to name a few). Ava has also featured in music videos for artists including Ireland’s very own rap group ‘Versatile’. When Ms Hennessy isn’t teaching and training in Galway and Cork city, she is dancing in gentlemen’s clubs around Ireland or updating her blog over on

TABOO Pole Shows fabulous host and Co-producer: Domino Tiagi! Our resident host is a self described gender bending glitter addict who loves all things taboo! Domino originates from Ireland’s musical theatre and panto’ scene, However, after spending many years in the back row of many heterosexually suppressed productions, Domino decided that enough was enough and “The Child of Glamour” was born! Tiagi believes that no heels are too high and no outfit is too sexy! Dominos hosting style can be described as loose and fierce but beware, no audience member is safe from the master of the show! Word of advice, know your gay icons or prepare to feel the wrath of this fierce queen.

Cat Mc Purr is an experienced exotic dancer and show girl who’s danced on stages across the globe, everywhere from Florida to Dublin City! She’s an old school rocker at heart and loves to get down to classic hits from bands such as AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses. When Cat isn’t training, performing or competing she’s organising her very own pole dance competition “Miss Hell on Heels”. You can catch the very first annual show girl awards on May 25th 2019 at Fallen Angels club in Cork City.

Arlene Caffrey, owner of the Irish Pole Dance Academy is a pint – sized bundle of sparks. An Irish OG pole dance Legend and burlesque artist ‘Le Petit Mort’. Arlene became addicted to pole dance in 2006 and later became involved in burlesque by running away with the infamous ‘Lovecats’ Burlesque Troupe in 2010. She became the first Miss Pole Dance Ireland in 2007 and has gone on to conquer other titles including: Miss Burlesque Ireland 2016/17 and Pole Theatre USA Pro Comedy Winner 2018.

Dee Keaveney is a professional dancer from Ireland. She began dancing at the age of 6 and never stopped, training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, street and pole dance. Dee has been honored to perform extensively, from New York to New Delhi, on stage and screen as well as at many live events. While training in New York, Dee took her first pole dance class at Body and Pole and became hooked. She made her debut with Taboo at ‘Beach Please’ in Dublin during the summer of 2018  and looks forward to many more performances.

Neon Love is a drag artist and burlesque performer hailing from Co. Mayo. She loves being sexy, sensual and seductive. Neon also enjoys giving her audience members a tasteful teasing experience by giving them lustful lap dances. Ms. Love likes to surprise her audience on occasion by performing her steamy boylesque number, stripping down to the bare butt! When Neon isn’t performing on the TABOO stage you can catch her performing at a number of other burlesque shows, heating up the stage at festivals such as Electric Picnic and appearing in television shows including RTE’s ‘Culchie Club’.

Edyta Cwik AKA Pole Bat is a spotlight addict and loves to perform at a number of shows around the country including UPA’ ‘Bringing Sexy Back’, hosted by the Irish Pole Dance Academy. When she isn’t performing at TABOO or teaching at her very own pole dance studio: The Coven, she is traveling around Ireland and overseas to compete and perform on stages in other busy venues. Edyta describes herself as ‘The Gothic Pole Dancer’ and enjoys transforming into different characters and experimenting with different music genres, depending on the occasion. Leanne is a multidisciplinary award winning dancer with titles that include 2015 All Ireland Pole Dance Champion, Pole Theater Professional Drama Winner 2015 and Pole Dance Princess 2014. She is an instructor at Irish Pole Dance Academy, is sponsored by Sway Pole-Wear and loves all things flexy and sexy. 
When Leanne isn’t teaching at IPDA she can be found performing at Circus at the Academy or dancing at Valentino’s, Dublin. She’s all about face and bum and having fun on stage.
